We want you to have time to relax and just hang out with your people. A full weekend at Gather Greene has a way of making the days and nights stretch out just a bit longer.
Access & Timing
Wedding and and event bookings are full property buy-outs that give you exclusive use of our 100 acre property from guest check in on Friday at 3pm through checkout at noon on Sunday. (Vendors can access the property for set-up starting at 8am.)
Rehearsal Dinner || Ceremony + Reception || Sunday Brunch
The full weekend booking gives you the freedom to do one event each day (i.e. rehearsal dinner on Friday, wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday, and farewell brunch on Sunday). Weekends can be extended to start on Thursday or end on Monday simply by booking out the cabins (no additional site fee).
Sites available for ceremonies, receptions and other events include the pavilion (seat up to 250 of your closest friends), sprawling fields, clearing in the woods, or our shale quarry pond area.
Cabin Bookout Requirement
The 17 cabins can be thought of as little hotel rooms in the woods, and reserving them works similarly to a hotel block. Cabins may be booked by the client or their guests, but all cabins must get booked for a minimum 2 night stay. Each cabin has a king bed, so a total of 34 guests can stay right at Gather Greene. (Other lodging options abound all within 10-20 minutes away.)
Inclusions & Other Vendors
Weekend bookings include 300 wooden folding chairs and 32 86"x 36" folding tables. Other rentals, including linens, are brought in through an outside vendor. Catering, decor, A/V etc is also brought in by outside vendors. Our carefully curated list of recommended vendors ensures each aspect of the weekend will be handled by talented professionals at the top of their game. We are more than happy to match you with those who best suit your needs.
Have your heart set on a vendor who isn't on our list? Introduce us :) All vendors must be vetted by Gather Greene confirming that they are licensed, insured, reputable and really amazing at what they do.
In the interest of making sure your fabulously amazing weekend runs fabulously, we highly encourage our clients to use event planners. Event planners are magical beings who were put on this earth with supernatural powers of timing, organization, aesthetics, and problem solving. Most of them are also relatively clairvoyant -and with a steady hand they will guide you towards the best possible choices for the most amazing event you can imagine. Event planners can be brought on for full planning, partial planning or even just weekend-of coordination. We require that you have a planner who is at the very least handling your weekend-of coordination. And don't worry -we know many of these magical beings and can point you towards a good match.
A Gather Greene venue manager will be on hand all weekend to answer any property related questions, greet your vendors and direct them around the grounds, make sure all rules (outlined in contract) are being followed, and to keep an eye on the bathrooms, making sure they are clean and stocked. Venue maintenance staff will also be on hand to assist the venue manager with any property related issues.
Pavilion & Bathrooms
Our 4000 sq ft pavilion is the perfect spot to host your reception. It can be left open air, or in case of inclement weather, our exterior grade shades can come down to protect from rain, wind, and intense sun. There is sufficient lighting to illuminate the main space for your event, and all in-house lighting is dimmable. Our enclosed core space includes a fully equipped catering kitchen (no need for your caterer to build out a cook tent!), 2 beautifully designed dressing suites with full en suite bathrooms, 5 single use bathrooms, 1 ADA accessible bathroom, and an upstairs lounge area featuring 725 sq ft of flexible space.
Quite honestly, your caterer is one of the most important vendors you will hire for your event. To ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible, we put a lot of thought into our kitchen. It is outfitted with a 12’ Ansul hood, 6-burner range, convection oven, refrigerator, prep sink, 3-bay sink, hand sink, warming cabinet, bun rack, multiple rolling prep tables and rolling shelves, and plenty of outlets (even coming down from the ceiling).
One of our favorite spots at Gather Greene is the shale quarry, we consider it to be like another venue in and of itself. The shale quarry is a large and very private oasis in the heart of our forest. The quarry was blasted out many years ago -and apparently the blasting went a bit too deep -creating what is now our beloved pond. We think this area is the perfect option for a more casual Friday night event al-fresco. It's also the most magical spot for your bonfire and after party.
